First and foremost make sure that you checkout not only the pages on the main menu, but the posts in the “Tips for leveling” and “Character Development“ categories on the right side. These posts contain useful information that can improve your leveling experience.
How to use the leveling guide?
It’s actually really simple. The guide for each zone starts with the FIRST quest in that zone. It doesn’t start with the quests that sends you to the zone(the one you got from your Class Hall), but with the quests that you take from the first NPC that you talk with in that zone.
Once you start with the quest make sure that every time you are about to start a new number(1,2,3,4 etc..) on the guide that you read the whole sentence that is connected to that line.
What does that mean?
1 – Boarded! + Supplies From the Skies + Assault and Battery + See Ya Later, Oscillator
When you see only names and no explanation that means that all you have to do is take these quests and complete them together. There are no special requirment or things that you have to do.
However you might see something like this:
2 – The Lost Legion + Lightning Rod – Turn in The Lost Legion and pick Pins and Needles then start completing the 2 quests and make sure that you don’t leave the cave before you are about to complete both quests.
As you can see here there is a clear warning that tells you what you have to do before you head towards the next part of the quests. If you leave the cave you probably won’t be able to complete the quests an as a result you will have to run back in the cave and waste time doing that.
10 – No Wings Required + To Weather the Storm + kill drakes to get Built to Scale(Note: you can complete the quest even after you turn in the other 2 quests and pick the next part) + Bonus Objective Assault the Drekirjar(Note: complete the Bonus Objective BEFORE you turn in the quest No Wings Required because the Bonus Objective will disappear if you turn in the quest)
As you can see there is a clear explanation that tells you that if you turn a certain quest before you complete the bonus objective you won’t be able to complete the bonus objective because it will disappear. It also tells you what mob you have to kill to get another quest that you can get only via drop.
Overall just make sure to read the whole sentence that follows after a number.
What is the meaning behind the numbers?
Actually the numbers are there only, so that you can keep tabs easier on where you are. That’s all. They are indicator letting you know where you are and it’s easier for you to bookmark your progress if you have to log out of the game for some reason.
Let’s say that you are on number 15 in Azsuna and suddenly you have to go out. The easiest way to remember where you are is to bookmark the Azsuna page and in the bookmark name you can simply put the number 15. Once you are back all you have to do is just open your bookmark, see the number and you will know where you are.
Of course you can always use the ctrl+f search command on your browser and type the name of the quest you are currently on to see where you are as well.
